Tenet (2020) :shock::shock::shock:

Aye, I did enjoy this film even though I didn’t think it’s among Nolan’s finest.

I just want to talk about a film I watched back in 2018 in theaters: First Man. I’m an aerospace enthusiast, and the Apollo program has interested me since childhood. While the film is reasonably well made from a “technical” perspective, I must say I really didn’t like the melancholy portrayal of Armstrong, and the rather dark tone (intentional or not) of space exploration.

In contrast, I thought the 2019 Apollo 11 documentary, where the old footage was remastered, was excellent.

Well, our battalion just finished a FEX, and in our BAS tent, one of the corpsman set up a tablet and BT speaker for movies, and played Avatar on our last night before the retrograde.

Also just watched Top Gun: Maverick. It's no auteur art piece, but it's quite an excellent movie and much better than the original.

oooh uh. paprika and bakshi's fire and ice.
paprika was amazing, and fire and ice was.. it was okay. it was definitely a bakshi movie. surprisingly sparse on dialogue.

i also saw caveat which was also amazing and made me physically look away from my phone several times whenever the mother's corpse was on screen because her eyes are just. awful.

Glass Onion... because I'm really enjoying Benoit Blanc. It's got a wonderfully good mix of the absurd, insightful and whimsical, while also being oddly heartwarming.

"The Pope's Exorcist"
It's based on a real person, and stuff that he has done, but I find it hard to believe the stuff that happened in the movie happened in real life. It was pretty much a Marvel movie.
