How many times will you experience The Way of the Water??

So I am curious how many times you will go experience the world of Pandora again?

I went six times back in 2010, all XD 3D Lounger experiences.

This time I have gone twice already and still plan on four more to match the original's count.

I am saving all the ticket stubs from all the movies to be framed when the series is over.

Nine times for me so far. I want to see it one last time in the "IMAX" format (my local Regal doesn't have a real IMAX theater, just a converted theater in the cineplex) before it finishes its theatrical run.

Do you know when the theatrical run ends?

Today is my 7th and last trip to Pandora. They are pulling Avatar from the theaters this week. I have to drive to Ohio to see it today since no theater around me is showing it any more.

I am sad it is the last but fortunate to be able to see it as many times as I did.

I have seen the film twelve times now. It will likely not be running after this week, so I doubt I will be seeing the film again in the theaters.

I look forward to the Blu-Ray coming out and buying a copy of same.

I wonder if they will make a collector's edition.

I expect so, tbqh. I get the impression that there was a fair amount on the cutting room floor that Cameron fully intended / wanted to be in there. Plus, the Avatar universe is very, very much his baby and personal pet project - so I think we'll see "his" cut come out on DVD/Blu-ray disc and probably on the streaming services as well. I'm guessing we'll get another 15-20 minutes on it. I hope I'm right as I'm really feel Neytiri was left out a bit in TWOW.

My local cinema is still showing TWOW so I'm hoping to go along for a final look at the weekend, which will be my 4th time.

I did it. Managed to get six tickets to match the first Avatar film's viewings, despite actually going 7 times. The last viewing, which was yesterday, was a horrible experience thanks to a group of people who had zero respect for anyone in the theater.

I got 3 free tickets that I plan to use to see it a few more times if it stays in theaters.

Had our 10th viewing this past Saturday in 3D HFR, but we probably won't go back to that theater again as it was right next to the IMAX theatre and we could hear the bass rumble of Ant Man through the whole movie. Our 9th viewing was regular 3D at the closest theater to us, but I found the picture too dark (older projector projecting at 2D luminance). It's too bad Avatar had to give up the IMAX and premium theatres for that under-performing Ant-Man movie. Although we're stuck with "slumming it" in just the regular 3D theatres, we'll probably keep seeing Avatar every weekend or so until it leaves theatres.

I did get to go again on Sunday, and it was lovely! They had moved Avatar to the small "studio" screen, which only has six rows with sofas and tables. There was just me on my own and one couple in there, so it was pretty much a private screening. Perfect :giggle:

I’m going to watch it for the sixth time this weekend :D bit sad that it’s not in IMAX anymore but I’ll take normal 3D. Now I know that I’ll need to watch the third one in IMAX so many times

Anyone else surprised that Disney is releasing ATWOW on digital on March 28th? It seems like they should have at least waited 2 more weeks and released it on Earth Day in April (I think that's what they did back in 2010 for A1). And on several streaming platforms but not Disney+.

I was surprised it's so soon - it's still showing in the cinemas here. Earth Day would seem logical, unless they want to release the physical media then. I'm looking forward to being able to get the disc to get the extended cut and commentary track etc.
