I said this over at LN, and I'll repeat it: Oh, SWEET! From June 2000-February 2004, I lived in Colorado Springs, CO; I visited Estes Park on a camping trip in 2001. I'm somewhat familiar with the Denver area, although my knowledge is outdated by 11 years. Trust me, folks: it's seriously beautiful, and you will almost certainly want to bring cameras.

Hope both of you EG and Tsutey can make it. There are two pre-meet options too: Camping in Jasper or sight seeing in Denver. Estes Park is just under a couple of hours from Denver and the airport, which isn't too bad and we are looking into shuttle options.

There is the slimmest ever chance I'll make this one, HNM and I are moving to the US in May or June and there's a chance I can drive there. Unfortunately if we can go, it'll be another bum meetup where we try to spend as little money as possible. Sharing a room with someone else would be great but it might be too last minute since we won't really know if we can go until kind of soon before. Great location! I really hope I can go since it would be a great drive and is just close enough for me to feel like driving there!

Regarding transport to and from Denver airport...

For anyone looking for transport options there is an airport shuttle to and from Estes Park calling at the Hotel, Denver Airport and also the Amtrak Station. It is $85 return or $45 one way. Below is a link:
