Avatar related dreams or lucid dreams, had any?

I've tried having lucid dreams for quite some time now, but I have only managed to get there once for a very very short period of time.
Any advice?

I dreamed that I was flipping through the pages of a textbook on Pandoran flora and fauna. I paused on one page and read this:

Printed on the page where I read this was a slow-motion GIF of this freaky plant skewering a mouse-like creature.
That is VERY detailed for a dream :O
You actually reminder me of a second "lucid dream" or rather vivid dream I had. I had a dream, noticed I was dreaming, woke up, wrote down my dream, woke up again noticing I had not woken up but was writing down my dream IN A DREAM. :D
(Thats what they call false awakening btw, back than I wrote down every detail of my dreams)

I have a few "true" Avatar universe dreams, and a fair proportion of my regular dreams have some weirdly random Avataresque elements to them. I.e. the other night I had a dream where I was shooting target archery, and it was utterly normal and blandly real-world - in the back yard with friends, except completely randomly I was using Neytiri's bow. It was size accurate in that it was absolutely massive, complete with javelin-sized arrows with stone heads and natural feather. Oddly enough, I could handle it just fine... which was the least plausible part of the whole thing! :D

Sadly, I really don't know how my mind gets to those places. I'm super glad it does, but it doesn't seem to follow any pattern or reason I can work out. Ocassionally I have "awareness", but not true lucidity or control though - just a vague sense of being in the flow of an story as it unfolds. I wish I did understand how it works as I'd love to share it, and be able to experience it more often :)

That is at least something! I've read about multiple techniques to identify a dream as fast as possible, but I just rarely dream. My sleep generally became very uneasy, I wake up many many times, often when a dream is just about to form and I am in a weird "in between" stage. I dream things, but I can barely see them and it's more like normal thoughts with a blurry image to them.
I really dont know what to do about restlessness during sleep but it's not always been like that.

The best technique I know (and worked two or three times when I actually tried), is making reality checks all day, just subtly biting your tongue is enough). Make it a habit and it might work :) who knows

While I don't remember my "Avatar" related dream, and I could never get myself to lucid dream, I did have have some dreams that were so real that I could hardly believe that I woke up from a dream. One of them was that I was in this cave set up to be a video rental place ran by a Youtuber I watch. I still remember the darkness, and the hardness of the ground when I was looking at all the movies.

I had a very odd dream last night, very short but felt incredibly real and vivid. Only vaguely Avatar related.

I'm not sure how in the dream I came to be in the situation, but I was in a completely real-world forest. I was consciously myself, and had human body but Omaticaya adornments, tools, and hunters paint. I was running through the forest, being chased, but was feeling more angry than scared. I began to climb this very tall, strong White Gum tree. I was a strong climber, and climbed high into the main branches, to the point I was above much of the rest of the canopy of this dry forest, looking out down from the ridge into a wide, deep, untouched forested valley, and bright sunshine - no clouds at all.

I reached for my bola rope, thinking to throw and try and catching it around a branch in front of me, when I noticed a silver/grey 4WD vehicle come crashing through the forest from where I'd come, tripped out with roo bars, lights, racks and all the usual stuff.

I remember being confused as to what their plan was, and if it was me they wanted or not, but saw them drive at full force straight into the base of the tree I was in. The vehicle was totalled, and the tree shook so hard (right to it's core) that I lost my footing and started falling. I really felt and experienced the fall, almost in slow motion (I remember looking up at the branches I'd been in as I fell) and then instantly snapped wide awake, feeling my whole body jump almost out of bed.

Unlike most Na'vi/Avatar influenced dreams I've had, this one was "unreal" in that my visual sense was almost animated - like I was in a CGI universe, even though it was real within the context of the dream. It was quite long but the only scenes I can vividly remember was standing high on the branches of an emergent tree in the forest, and was getting ready to ride my ikran. Everything was completely Na'vi (and Omatikaya specific), except for the forest itself wasn't Pandoran, but was a wet Eucalypt forest like you find in the upper Blue Mountains (it did look vaguely look the Jamison Valley IRL), but was still CGI-like and was actually on Pandora, as I didn't have any recom-like breathing gear, and the sky was Pandoran, with Polyphemus visible, maybe near eclipse or sunset as it had an almost pearescent quality to the light.

My Ikran was beautiful, deep blue with deep green counter-shade and patches and streaks of near-white on her, and she had a beautifully rattan woven saddle with leather works edging it. I did know her name in the dream, I think, but I can't remember it :(

I can't remember much (any) of the wider narrative or events of the dream except getting ready to fly - and there were others with me, some who were already soaring around over the forest in the valley beneath, and there was someone else up in the canopy also getting ready to go who I was talking too. It didn't seem tense and there was no sense of conflict, and I vaugely remember it was just flying solely to bond and enjoy time with my ikran, not for any specific task.

It was actually really relaxing and beautiful, and woke up feeling pretty damn good :)

I am going to talk a bit About Avatar and my internel experence with a deep repeating dream that I had after seeing the orignal film back in early part of 2010. , we all know that the Avatar storyverse was seeded by a number of dreams that Cameron had and of cource the film is presented in a way that is dream like in its self , Waking through a dream I see you it a part of its core artistic expression,, But I never expected the impact those layers would have on my own discovery of some quite profound real world history, as a person on the aspergers spectrum I have allways had sensitivy to some of these layers , in the months after the films release I went to see it at least 5 times , the film strongly resonated with something deep inside, I experenced a repeating dream over a series of 4 nights , in this dream there was a cat like women and I was told that she was of deep importance to addresing an age old conflt then someone I could not see placed a hand on my sholder and simply said look deeper and you will understand . so I searched for over 2 years into indigious history , I had reacted to something "Refected" in the film that somehow bridge related to something very important , but I was not sure why , The name "Jake" kept comming up but he did not look at all like the "jake" in the film , there was bridging history here and I was reacting to it layers , So I looked into Where Cameron Grew up , again the Hand on the sholder and something about "condolance" Then I ran Accross this , , In the Recent history of the Haudeosaunee nation there was a Leader Named "Jake Swamp" whos life's work was to address the deep internal layers of tramma that had been impacted upon indigious peoples for hundredes of years , I also came into knowledge of a vital women in there peoples deep history as well as the powerful very real world story of what there own people went through in there time of great sorrow where they where fighting each other , a very dark time in there history long before our people arived in there "ships" and brought absolute chaos to many indigous peopels , This women is known of as the Jigonsaseh ,And she comes from the Erie Nation and I really hope people will take a look for themselves at what the Erie nation was known as . I think you will be suprised,, I am really condencing things down here to some of the key points I expernced , it was a highly emotive refective experence , and if it was not for Avatar's storylayers that seeded these dreams and I am still perplexed as to why this happend . I would have never been driven to these layers of what I found to be deepy emotive history, Shared dream's cen be a powerful medium for collective change , and I hope people will take a listen to what Jake swamp had to share.
Thank you
