Greetings to all denizens of Pandora. We have made the difficult decision to end development of Avatar: Pandora Rising. Your involvement throughout this journey has been greatly appreciated.

After working diligently through various prototypes and designs, our development team ultimately made the difficult decision to end development on Avatar: Pandora Rising. We decided this due to the degree of changes needed to deliver on our new vision and meet the high expectations of our fans within our development timeline. It is with heavy hearts that we announce Avatar: Pandora Rising will be closing on April 4, 2022, which will include the ending of our support for the game as well.

This will be the final Season for Avatar: Pandora Rising. We encourage Alliances to pull out all the stops and create the most epic battles possible. Don’t forget to use any remaining Avatar points before the Season ends. After the end of this Season, we’ll be delivering some in-game gifts for you to enjoy.

Thank you for the time and commitment you gave playing and providing feedback for Avatar: Pandora Rising, and for being a part of this journey with us. We wish you all the best of luck in your future travels.

-The Avatar: Pandora Rising Team

Well, another Avatar Mobile game bites the dust before it can get going. I had been looking forward to the world wide release of this for a few years now. It does leave behind an impressive legacy of art that was created for the game. It showed us what Ninat looked like, gave us Ikeyni's name, the character Katherine Hale who crossed over into the comics.

Here are a few random pieces of art from the game for those who aren't familiar with it. The game looked like it was, or could have been, a gold mine of lore and art.

a game like this develops interest in the sequels, it's great publicity. why would they cancel it? i don't understand why we get so little world-building content over the years, and now even less. :(

I just don't know...this close to Avatar 2 releasing, this game has been pushed back a couple of times but I'm sure that wasn't all their fault with the sequels getting delayed repeatedly, and the game was finished enough to be available in some countries so it's not like it's only half done. This really surprises me. I've looked forward to playing it for years.

I’m hopeful that we’ll see a renewed push to bring Avatar-based games to market in the near future—if JC can keep the momentum going. Pandora Rising had the life sucked out of it by a decade of schedule slips in Hollywood. They were just too nice to put it that way in their announcement. Of course, I’d rather have the best Avatar sequel possible, but time takes its toll.

It was very unfortunate, especially that it ended just as hype was about to truly build for Avatar: The Way of Water.
